InGo Quality Assurance Checklist

Conducting InGo QA is a straightforward process. Follow the steps outlined below and you will be well on your way to ensuring a high quality event!

How to Conduct QA on an InGo-powered Event

  1. Have this page open in 1 tab
  2. Have your event that you are conducting QA on open an another tab
  3. Have Trello Open with the Trello Card of the Event
  4. Follow each of the checklist items as you proceed
  5. Grade the event using the Power-Ranking tool in the Trello Card Checklist (also available here)

CHECKLIST ITEMS

INITIAL TESTS / QA OVERVIEW (Activator Widget Functionality)

  • Does InGo load?
  • Does the Amplifier Widget (SW) display my contacts when I scroll?
  • Does InGo (Activator and Amplifier Widgets) load on supported browsers? (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE 11 ,Opera and EDGE)
  • Can I log in with all available networks?
  • Am I redirected to the right location after login (social-authentication)?
  • Do I see all available social network personal details pre-populate (note: Twitter does not support pre-populatation of text)
  • Is an attendee created after logging in through the Activator or Amplifier?

Invites, messages AND POSTING QA (Amplifier Widget Functionality)

  • Can I send a message (invite) with all available networks?
  • Can I post (public) with all available networks? 
  • Can I share a message on the post/share tab in all available networks?
  • Can I type a message on the post/share tab in all available networks?
  • Does the invite and post have the correct content for the current event?
  • Can I select / deselect contacts?

Activator Widget and Amplifier Widget Specific ITEMS

  • Do the Activator and Amplifier Widgets have the correct UI?
  • Are all supported Social Network buttons enabled (or disabled)?
  • Does the invite and post have the correct content for the current event?
  • Can I log out / log in for any Social Network using the Amplifier Widget?
  • Does the Amplifier Widget "filter" feature (Invite and WhoIsIn tab) work? 
  • Does the Amplifier Widget "search" feature (Invite and WhoIsIn tab) work? Meaning, can I type a keyword / name and have that result display?
  • Can I see registered attendees in Amplifier Widget-WhoIsIn?
  • Does tooltip appear for attendees / contacts after mouse hovering?
  • Do "POST/SHARE" and "WhoIsIn" features (for Activator Widget) work as expected? (This is permissions-related. If I uncheck 1 or both permissions on the Login Widget, do I NOT show up in Who's - In? and vice versa?)
  • Is the Amplifier Widget and Activator Widget settings appropriate for an event language? 

Additional Attendees

  • Could you register an additional attendee during the process? Yes/No
  • Did this additional attendee display in the Dashboard? Yes/No

REPORTING / ADMIN

  • Do I display in Admin as not dirty?
  • Is an attendee created after logging in Activator Widget or Amplifier Widget?
  • Does an attendee become "confirmed" only after passing all registration steps (e.g. after paying)?
  • Does "Merge" feature work as expected? [accepted merge -> another user is combined with the previous, cancelled merge -> another user (attendee) is created]

Done with QA? Here are the Next Steps:

  1. Report any an all bugs to Zendesk first here.
  2. Note the comments in the Trello Card of the event itself.
  3. Notify Delivery (ticket) and/or Development via the proper channels (ticket first and always).
